Job description

A unique Management Accountant role in a fast-growing SME business, suitable for an ambitious individual with aspirations to move into a bigger role, gain experience and new skills, and take a step towards the Financial Controller/ Head of Finance. This will be a senior management position with a very varied job role, that requires lots of business partnering, supporting the business in making strategic decisions and implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Preparation of management accounts, reports and other financial information ensuring timely delivery of the period end process
• Analysis and reporting of financial and business performance via monthly management accounts and variance reports with supporting commentary.
• Ensure accurate and timely journal posting
• Payroll and bank payment processing
• Ensure that financial controls are in place ensuring all accounts are audit proof
• Participate in management and other stakeholder meetings including banks, investors, business partners and clients.
• Highlight risks & opportunities and suggest profit improving initiatives
• Recruit, manage & lead junior staff members
• Liaising with other business departments and support on business cases as and when required

About You:

• Qualified Accountant with CIMA, CMA, ACCA or ACA
• Previous experience in Finance or Accounting in a leadership role
• Strong business partnering skills
• Commercial acumen
• Strong Excel skills
• Ability to learn quickly and willingness to take on responsibility of tasks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities within strict deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to £32,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
