The Management Accountant will join a fast growing business at an exciting time in its history. Waste Managed and the group of companies it is part of is growing quickly and is investing in technology and its people for its next phase of growth. As Management Accountant you’ll join a great team of talented people and will provide accurate management reporting to assist with key decisions, while ensuring compliance with all financial regulations.

- Payroll experience desirable
- 2 years’ post qualified experience preferred
- Experience in high growth business(es) desirable
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or CIMA) preferred but Qualified by Experience considered
You’ll be responsible for:
- Accurate and timely production of the group’s consolidated management accounts, financial reporting, and other financial information for internal and external stakeholders.
- Preparing month end and year end journals and control account reconciliations, as well as providing analytical review to accompany reporting packs.
- Continuous review of accounting processes and practices, to streamline and improve where possible.
- Calculation, reconciliation, and submission of VAT returns for all group companies.
- Preparation of monthly payroll and resolution of employee queries.
- Supporting the external audit, ensuring the auditors receive accurate and clear information. Providing information and explanations to the external tax team.
- Completing Office for National Statistics surveys.
- Reviewing and authorising external payments including supplier payment runs and customer refunds.
- Assisting the Finance Manager and Group Financial Controller to ensure the group’s financial control environment is documented and in line with best practice, and that financial reporting risks are mitigated appropriately.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members and aiding their professional development.
- Keeping up to date with changes in accounting standards and best practise and transfer knowledge within the team
