Senior Management Accountant
Our client is seeking an experienced management accountant to join their team and collaborate with their diverse and dynamic client base. This exciting opportunity involves working with fast-growing clients from various industries, offering exceptional management accounting services and delivering valuable insights to enhance their operations. As a customer-centric role, you will be responsible for reporting on our clients' commercial, financial, and accounting activities while fostering strong and lasting client relationships.
Location: Leeds
Salary: £30,000 - £42,000
As the Senior Management Accountant, your key objectives will include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and relevant information for clients in a timely manner, engaging in discussions to provide insights.
- Developing annual projections and discussing them with clients to assist in their strategic planning.
- Identifying opportunities to offer additional services and cross-selling to clients.
- Creating and updating comprehensive client cash flow reports when necessary.
- Actively participating in client meetings to discuss results and propose improvements.
- Providing support to other departments as needed.
- Completing all administrative tasks and handling ad hoc duties related to account preparation.
- Taking ownership of your professional development and growth.
- Assisting in the development and training of junior team members.
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- A qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA professional with a strong background in management accounting.
- Previous experience in a similar management accounting role within a practice or industry setting.
- Technical expertise and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry knowledge.
- Exceptional communication skills, allowing you to confidently interact with clients at all levels, whether in person or via phone.
- A forward-thinking and innovative mindset, consistently seeking ways to add value and improve processes.
- Proficiency in using Xero, Quickbooks, and Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with apps such as Receiptbank and Spotlight would be advantageous.
