Management Accountant
Up to £45,500 pro rata plus excellent benefits (Work Level 6A)
Permanent & 12-month secondment/FTC opportunities available

We’re looking for two management accountants to join us in Manchester to help enable critical commercial decision-making that’ll drive the performance of Co-op Food Retail. The role come with an attractive salary and benefits package.
In this role, you’ll support the delivery of high-profile, continuous improvement projects, and provide valuable insights drawn from historical financial data to spot potential risks and opportunities.
To give you an idea of how this management accountant role will look and feel, here are some of the things you can expect to do:
- provide financial support to business budget owners, helping to ensure the accuracy of performance results that directly impact decision making
- provide robust financial control over the monthly management accounts, making sure that deadlines are met and delivered to a high standard
- utilise the appropriate balance sheet accounts to support forecasting and ensure that risks are understood and managed effectively
To apply for this management accountant role, you’ll need an ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualification, or equivalent. You’ll also need:
- previous experience in preparing and/or reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and improving financial processes
- good communication skills, with the ability to engage with colleagues of all levels of seniority
- strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables)
- familiarity with accountancy systems such as SAP, Cedar and Cognos
