Job description
An international manufacturing business are recruiting for a Management Accountant for their UK Head Office in Cardiff. Working with a high performing Finance team and responsible for consolidated results, the preparation of Board packs, cashflow forecasting, management of forecast and budget calendars.
The company has grown both organically and via acquisition. They have a range of products, invest in R&D and are always looking at ways to innovate and improve their offering.
Management Accountant duties
- Provision of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and business information reports within tight time deadlines.
- Assist in the management of budgets and reporting.
- Ensuring that acquisitions are incorporated into the Group financial reporting environment. This includes altering forecasting, budgeting and reporting software to ensure they are properly consolidated.
- Building a rigorous cashflow forecasting process for the group.
- Working closely with the broader finance team to ensure cashflow forecasting is used to correctly.
- Reporting on actual investment performance against target returns and indicative investment returns.
- Support the FP&A team with business partnering
- Undertake such professional training as is needed to perform at the highest standard.
Management Accountant person specification
- Professionally qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- Advanced Excel ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
- Successful track record in a busy working environment in the delivery of financial information including periodic accounts information and year-end financial accounts.
- Good commercial judgement and ability to support the executive directors and senior management.
- Ability to persuade and influence others.
