Barnes Roffe Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join one of their clients based in Wembley.
What is the role?
The position would suit someone who is comfortable working independently and has experience in this type of role. Ideally someone who can take immediate responsibility for key areas of the finance function and support the Financial Controller
You will be responsible for all day-to-day operations, managing and supporting team members as well as improving processes and helping to identify efficiencies.

Key responsibilities
- Manage and carry out day-to-day bookkeeping duties.
- Day to day administration of invoice financing facility, working with finance provider, external auditors as well as Credit Control and Billing teams.
- Pro-actively manage cash flow by tracking transactions, reviewing forecast accuracy and controlling payments process.
- Preparation of monthly management information: P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
- Support the Finance Director in working with budget holders to manage costs and overhead expenditure.
- Responsible for end-to-end AP process, co-ordinating members of the finance team involved in processing and paying supplier invoices.
- Suggest updates and improvements for accounting processes.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
- Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
- Support the Finance Director with ad hoc FP&A activities
- Work with the Finance Director to implement new financial plans and budgets whilst regularly looking for cost reduction opportunities
- Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
Personal specification
- Accounting qualification essential
- Proven experience in similar job role.
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience of Sage is preferable
- Experience of OrderWise would be an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven can-do attitude with an ability to work calmly and accurately
- A self-motivated individual that can work to strict time deadlines
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
