Male Mental Health Support Worker

The Park is a 12-bed step through rehabilitative facility set in beautiful rural countryside not far from Thornbury. We house adult males aged 18-65 with a mental health illness. The service's core philosophy is the promotion of independence, health and social recovery through bespoke rehabilitation and care/support planning for these adults
As a Male Mental Health Support Worker at The Park, you will be working as part of an innovative, friendly and compassionate team. You will be responsible for enabling people with various and sometimes very complex support needs to progress towards recovery, wellbeing and independence through the utilisation of creative, flexible, and outcome-driven support, planning and delivery techniques.
On a typical day you will be:
· Enabling service users to access and participate in our in-house activities and their local community
· Creating positive relationships with Service Users and engaging in their journey to recovery
· Providing medication administration and work with clinical staff to support service users achieve self-medication and independence in this area
· Attending meetings with or on behalf of service users
· Developing and maintaining an understanding of mental health sections and any associated conditions of community discharge
Shift times
3 weeks of days, followed by 3 weeks of nights. 2 weekly rotation of shifts: Mon, Tues, Sat Sun on week one, and Weds, Thurs, Fri on week 2.
Day shift times are 07:30 - 08:00 and 10:30 - 23:00
Night shift times: 19:30 - 08:00

Please note – The Park is in a rural location based in the postcode GL12, you will need your own transport and we have plenty of onsite parking.
