JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary Objectives for the Maintenance Technician Position will be:
- Responsible for undertaking minor repairs and maintenance issues at the 5 x leisure buildings.
- To take responsibility for liaising with all contractors on sites carrying out any repair/maintenance work
- To coordinate all reactive maintenance across the five centres.
- To assist in the management of the Leisure Centre’s quality assurance systems and procedures.
- To undertake any regulatory requirements.
- To assist in managing the facilities planned maintenance system.
- To play a key role in maintaining the operation of the buildings and equipment at all leisure centres
- To liaise daily with the Centre/Duty managers to ensure any technical issues are overcome as a priority
- To undertake any other duties as may be required by the Centre/Site Manager to ensure that the business objectives of the contract are achieved.
- Engender a sense of pride in the company and maintain a professional attitude
- Assist in the development of a good working relationship between colleagues, the client and customers.
- To Carry out any other duties as may be required in the day to day running of the centre
- To carry out operations in line compliance with Health & Safety Procedures.
THE CANDIDATE
- It will be desirable that the postholder has experience of maintenance, plant & equipment and has an understanding of Health & Safety specific to the post.
- The successful candidate will preferably have knowledge & skills in the Leisure or a related industry in a small/medium sized enterprise.
- It would be advantageous for the postholder to have an electrical qualification.
- The candidate will preferably hold GCSEs including Maths and English Grade C or above, or a similar qualification.
- It is desirable that the candidate holds a minimum of RSA level 2 or equivalent.
- Will be able to use excel, word and Microsoft office to an intermediate level.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate administrative abilities, although full training will be given.
