Plumbing and Maintenance Operative

Salary £33,404.80 to £37,315.20 per annum, depending on skills and experience
RMS is a leading independent girls’ day/boarding School with around 1000 day and boarding pupils aged 2 to 18, over 310 teaching and support staff and situated on a 300 acre parkland site near Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire. Working within the Premises Department, the Plumbing Maintenance Operative will be responsible for the daily maintenance of the water services in school buildings and facilities, including its residential properties. The operative will also need to carry out general maintenance jobs where the need arises.
The operative will undertake daily management of work requests received and ensure both proactive and reactive maintenance is carried out to the highest standards in a timely manner.
Work undertaken will require close liaison with other members of the Premises team. The operative will report to the Premises Manager and will supervise a plumbing apprentice.
This is a permanent role and is required for 40 hours per week, working an 8 hour shift pattern between 7.00am and 7.00pm from Monday to Friday. The post holders pay will be £33,404.80 to £37,315.20 per annum (depending on skills and experience).
