Schedule: Flexible schedule between the hours of 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, contingent on server usage and the needs of the business
Remote Opportunity
The IT Server Maintenance Administrator is responsible for ensuring the security and stability of our IT infrastructure through timely and efficient server maintenance, patch management, vulnerability assessment, and remediation. This administrator will work closely with the IT team to develop and implement patching and vulnerability management procedures. An ideal candidate is eager to gain knowledge and understanding of the computer systems and software applications including the Windows-based operating system used by Suncoast Credit Union.

Responsibilities:- Manage the patching process for all IT systems and applications, including operating systems, databases, and middleware
- Ensure efficient deployment of patches to all systems
- Conduct assessments of the IT systems and applications
- Identify and report the remediation of system vulnerabilities
- Develop and maintain patch and vulnerability management procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Monitor security bulletins and alerts from vendors or security organizations, assess the risk of vulnerabilities, and determine the appropriate response
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure patches and updates are deployed in an efficient manner, minimizing the impact on system availability
- Monitor server and network infrastructure to ensure uptime, reliability, and performance
- Analyze and interpret monitoring data to identify trends and potential issues before they become critical
- Create documentation and procedures for monitoring, alerting, and reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address system issues, including network, hardware, and software problems
- Maintain a comprehensive inventory of IT systems and applications, including their patch status and vulnerability assessment results
- Collaborate with IT management to prioritize patching and vulnerability remediation efforts based on risk assessments and business impact
- Provide regular reports to IT management on patching and vulnerability management activities, including progress on patch deployments, vulnerability assessment results, and compliance with policies and procedures
- Interpret monitoring data to make informed decisions
- Implement new tools and technologies to enhance system performance, processes, and procedures
- Utilize dashboards or reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide visibility into system health
- Identify patterns and trends in the system behavior and use this information to optimize system performance to improve reliability
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems or a related field preferred (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements)
- 3+ years of experience with IT Server management
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends to meet the needs of the business
- Experience with patch management tools, for example, SCCM, WSUS, or Manage Engine
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools, for example, Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to patch management and vulnerability management
- One of the following certifications required; Microsoft Certified, Azure Administrator Associate, CCNA, Azure Database Administrator Associate, or equivalent certification such as current Microsoft Windows server OS or infrastructure certifications
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred
- Proficient knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN concepts and other communications hardware techniques preferred
- Ability to prioritize tasks by effectively managing competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines
- Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized with task management
- Ability to analyze and resolve difficult or complex problems
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators
- Ability to influence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
