Job description

Position Scope:

NACG is looking for Maintenance Labourers to work at the Fort Hills location. You must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else.

Site: Fort Hills

Schedule: 14x14 (Days and nights)

Accommodations: Camp provided

Transportation: Flights provided to and from Edmonton or Calgary

Overtime: After 8 hours in a day or 44 hours per week

Hourly Rate: Up to $32.34 per hour

The successful candidate will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.

Responsibilities:

Successful applicants must to be willing to help out in all tasks including general yard clean up, assisting mechanics and steamers and other day to day tasks as directed by the maintenance supervisor.
Must be a self-starter
Skid steer, loader, fork lift expereince considered an asset
Preference will be given to applicants with a mechanical background.
Must have a valid driver's licence.

**Must be physically fit and be able to lift 50 pounds**

Summary:

All successful candidates must:

Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Have experience as requested as mentioned above
Subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:

Breath Alcohol Test
Urine Drug Test
Fitness-to-Work Assessment
Audiometric Testing
Vision Screening
Criminal Record Check

Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.

All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:

CSO Certification
Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Copy of recent Driver’s Abstract
VOID cheque/direct deposit form
Silica Awareness
Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awarness

Once dispatched the following processes will occur:

Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre-employment testing
An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
After all results are received by NACG candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site specific details.

Please note the entire On-boarding process can take anywhere from 3-8 business days.
