WHAT TO EXPECT
This role will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and completion of all routine PM’s & site repairs, plumbing maintenance repairs, fault finding on a wide range of services, plant and equipment at DC7 Pilot Operations.
Pilot Build Operations is responsible for the delivery of Verification build (VB) vehicles in either a ground up state (completely new vehicle body) or donor condition (vehicle upgrade). All vehicles are handed over to Vehicle Engineering to a VB build plan and are used by the engineering community to develop and sign off their systems through to Final Engineering Confirmation (FEC).
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Completion of all fluid fill, plumbing, site repairs at pilot operations Ryton
- Diagnose / trace faults, rectify and validate issues as directed.
- Fitment and removal of equipment parts as required.
- Maintain and complete all relevant Work in Progress load within agreed targets.
- Maintain equipment and tools in line with company and health & safety standards.
- Support and assist the maintenance teams across all manufacturing sites as directed.
- Support with Group Leaders and associated areas
- Interact with estates management during production stops.
- Attend group leader start up meetings.
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Proven previous experience in plumbing repairs.
- An indentured / modern apprenticeship or level 3 qualification relevant for the role (plumbing/mechanical repair).
- Knowledge and experience of vehicle rectification (electrical or mechanical)
- Good knowledge of manufacturing / vehicle / equipment Maintenance
- Previous knowledge and experience of adhering to health and safety regulations.
