Maintenance Technician
We’re looking for a committed and creative Maintenance Technician to join our team here at Bournemouth and Poole College on a full time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £26,749 per annum.

About the role:
As the Maintenance Technician you will work alongside the existing maintenance team and to carry out planned, reactive and project works as specified by the Estates Maintenance Manager.
Responsibilities as our Maintenance Technician will include:
- General maintenance duties throughout the estate working both independently and as part of the team on all College sites
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to a variety of building services.
- Carrying out work on the fabric of the building in connection with maintaining the safety of the College buildings.
- Maintaining any necessary records and providing information as required.
- Carrying out minor repairs on furniture and equipment, (excluding technical equipment and machinery in laboratories, workshops and teaching areas).
- The installation of new equipment within the post-holders' technical competence.
- Being conversant with current COSHH regulations
As our Maintenance Technician, you’ll ideally have:
- A bias toward carpentry would be beneficial due to the maintenance and upkeep of doors and windows throughout the Estate
- Multi – skilled and comfortable with dealing with minor leaks and plumbing works/ blockages to water systems, chilled water system maintenance, water hygiene/ legionella knowledge would be beneficial but not essential
- Working at Height experience is preferred. PASMA and IPAF training can be provided
- A recognised trade qualification
- National Technicians or City and Guilds Certificate in a relevant subject
- Full, clean driving licence
