Job Introduction
Landmarc Support Services are looking to recruit an Armourer, the role would also encompass other maintenance activities so it would be beneficial if the successful candidate possessed a background in Mechanical or Electrical as well as being a qualified Armourer.
As the Armourer you would be required to support training estate by maintaining weapons, ammunition and associated equipment within the Armoury and required to carry out other duties as requested by the manager.
You are required to work flexibly over the course of 37 hour working week. You will be required to work weekends.
Main Responsibilities
The management and control of all maintenance, repair and safe storage / custody of station weapons, ammunition and associated equipment, including training aids.
Take responsibility for all issues / receipt of weapons and ammunition and to take control of private weapons and ammunition held in the Station Armoury.
Conditioning of Armoury technical equipment.
ATC Armament parenting duties as directed

What you know
Knowledge of specialism gained through the completion of level 3 qualification such as City and Guilds, ONC, NVQ or equivalent supported by relevant experience.
Knowledge of H&S such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
Experience of communicating with customers.
Knowledge of specialist equipment where required e.g. Watchman Radar, Cossor MSSR, Mascot Mincomms, SPICCCS System, Microwave communications systems.
Where required, knowledge of electrical testing & inspection.
What you can do
Qualified to Maintain and Repair all service weapons
Sound Knowledge of Storage of Explosives

Basic laboring and housekeeping skills
Demonstrate proven track record of achieving objectives
Ability to operate and maintain a range of tools and equipment

Basic IT skills
Willingness to undertake training to work in high risk areas e.g. confined spaces, working at height.
