We are recruiting for a Maintenance Surveyor on a fixed term contract basis in our North London Region.
Whilst this role is North London based, the successful candidate may be asked to cover a geographical patch that includes North and/or East London postcodes

The Repairs & Maintenance Team oversee the delivery of our in-house and external repair service, ensuring providers deliver the service to Clarion’s customer standards and provide value for money.
We’re looking for a Maintenance Surveyor to carry out pre & post-inspections and create reports for responsive repairs, void works, and cyclical repairs. You’ll be the face of Clarion for our customers, delivering the highest levels of customer satisfaction, and managing the performance and progress of our repairs service ensuring that quality works are delivered on time, with minimal defects, to a regional budget, and all within relevant statutory regulations and compliance.
We’ll look to you to deliver a professional surveying service including overseeing major and complex works, diagnosing damp and mould issues, responsive repairs, void works, and aids & adaptations. You will carry out diagnostic inspections and surveys, providing technical reports and accurate technical advice.
You’ll identify and manage insurance claims including property inspections and managing decants, liaising with loss adjusters and the insurance team, and you’ll be the technical lead during the handover of any new developments.
Other responsibilities include:
- Effective and efficient control of budgetary spend
- Production of schedules of works using NHF SOR coding
- Ensuring effective liaison with our in-house service provider, M&E contractors, and external sub-contractor staff to ensure the delivery of a top quality service
You’ll preferably hold a recognised qualification in a property related discipline such as a HNC in Surveying, or a degree level qualification; and be a member of a relevant professional body such as RICS or CIOB. You’ll need a good knowledge of the Social Housing Sector, awareness of its regulations, and a demonstrable knowledge of building construction, building and regulatory standards, planning regulations, health & safety, and other legislation relevant to asset management.
We’re seeking a surveyor with experience of financial management and controls within a contractor management and day to day repairs delivery, and knowledge of effective professional surveying service.
