Job description
Freelance Junior Content Creator (£-Competitive Day Rate)
*Please note: Applications without social media handles or a portfolio included will not be considered. Please ensure you include these details when prompted on the application.*
K.B.T. Brand and Social is looking for a Junior Social Media Content Creator to support a U.K. music artist with regular content creation. The role would include accompanying the artist on various industry commitments including, but not exclusive to video and photo shoots, live performances, TV shoots, and dedicated social media shoot days to capture and create short form content and post on the artist's social media accounts when required.
We ARE NOT looking for a professional videographer or photographer, therefore we don't require technical camera skills or advanced editing ability. This is a junior position, best suited for a recent school leaver or graduate who loves creating on social media (particularly TikTok) and is great at it. You could be an aspiring content creator or just love making content, as long as you know how to shoot and edit videos and images that work for social media/Gen Z, then you could be a great fit for the team! (If you can also create more advanced social media edits that is a bonus, but it is not required to be successful in this position.)
A MUST for this role is that you're able to think quickly and creatively, spot content opportunities and be willing to learn how to work in busy, fast paced environments.
That said, you won't be left to figure it all out by yourself! You will get lots of guidance and support and we will constantly help you grow your confidence in creating. PLUS we think you'll have a lot of fun working with the team!
Requirements (Skills and Experience)
The successful candidate will:
- LOVE social media content creation (particularly TikTok) and already create regularly (e.g. have experience creating TikTok content on their own account or for others)
- Have a deep understanding of TikTok trends, content styles and top performing creators on the app
- Be able to confidently film high quality footage using the latest iPhone model (device provided)
- Be able to confidently take still images using the latest iPhone model
- Be able to edit high quality TikToks, reels and images (quickly) using an iPhone
- Have an excellent eye for detail (e.g. spot & avoid typos and errors, correct shot composition etc.)
Pay/Hours
- The role is freelance and paid at a competitive day rate for a junior content creator position.
- The hours will be part time to begin with a view to increase over time.
If you think the above sounds like you, and you're looking for a break into working in social media, we really want to hear from you!
