Our newly opened care home in Derby, Kingsway View is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join us on this exciting new journey. Providing residential, respite, dementia and nursing care, with 80 state-of-the-art rooms for residents to reside in, spacious dining and lounge areas, an on-site café, floor-to-ceiling windows, and so much more, we are excited to be bringing this opportunity to Derby!

With the desire to always improve and develop their staff skillset, you will be encouraged to progress and develop skills, qualifications and training with the support of the company, so no experience is required!

What you will receive as a Maintenance Operative;

  • £13.78 per hour
  • Full-time, permanent contract
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 8am-4pm
  • Derby-based with fantastic transport links - DE22 3ZB

What you will be doing as a Maintenance Operative;

  • Maintaining grounds by mowing lawns, clearing leaves and gritting paths when necessary
  • Inspecting, fixing and maintaining equipment and machinery
  • Completing scheduled maintenance tasks
  • Conducting preventative maintenance and identifying when items need upgrading or replacing
  • Painting and decorating or conducting repairs to flooring and other fittings
  • Ensuring rooms are maintained and fully equipped

What you will need to be successful as a Maintenance Operative;

  • Fantastic communication and organisation skills
  • Ability to manage workload, and time and prioritise tasks efficiently
  • Experience with DIY and gardening alongside basic Health & Safety knowledge
