The role
As a Defence Nuclear Emergency Organisation Mechanical Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Planning, controlling, and carrying out the scheduled maintenance of the Station and Defence Nuclear Emergency Organisation Mechanical major & minor Ground Support Equipment (GSE) in conjunction with the GSE Elect Tech
Day to day,
- Maintaining the DNEO & Station GSE at RAF Wyton.
- Maintaining Station Fire Extinguishers (Training will be provided based on BS5306-3).
- Recording the maintenance of the Mechanical GSE
- Raising and clearing documentation in support of maintenance tasks
- Ordering equipment and spare parts for GSE
- Conditioning equipment and tools.
- Inventory holder
- Deploying on DNEO exercises in the UK as required
Essential experience of the Defence Nuclear Emergency Organisation Mechanical Technician
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering Motor transport and/or 3 years’ experience in the armed forces or industry
- Hold full current driving license
- Good knowledge of MS office products
- Familiarity with Tri Service and/or MOD practices and procedures
- Field Electrical Power System (FEPS) mechanical trained
This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Wyton
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
