Business Overview
Our client is a rapidly expanding company delivering design, manufacture, installation and commission of conveyors and materials handling equipment. They have continued a sustained period of growth and have delivered multiple large construction and refurbishment projects. As such there will shortly be a requirement for a Site Fitter/Rigger to support a site modification project.
The Role of the Site Fitter/Rigger Includes:
- Modification of existing process plant and upgrade of conveyor system.
- Replacement of motors, drives and bearings etc.
- Use of chain blocks to remove old plant
- Float in new equipment using existing runway beams/temporary access
- Assisting with mechanical fitting
- Changing motors, drives and bearings
- 10-hour shifts/Mon-Fri and weekends when required/7:30-5:30 p/w
The Requirements of the Site Fitter/Rigger are:
- BTEC, NVQ L3 Rigging/ time served apprentice
- Site Safety – CSCS card/ CCNSG/ Ace Card in steel erecting
- IPAF license
- Heavy Engineering Operations
- Materials handling Equipment/Pipework/Structural Steel
- Hard worker
- Flexible to work weekends when required
