The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Hotel Maintenance Manager who will report directly into the General Manager. The successful candidate will take a hands-on approach to reactive maintenance on a day to day basis to resolve all bedroom, public area & back of house problems. They will also look after the completion of weekly and monthly planned maintenance - fire compliance checks, water checks etc. Responsible for departmental Health and Safety - completion of Risk Assessments, General Maintenance checks, Fire training & Crisis Manual update. They will maintain strong relationships with contractors, book jobs and ensure all work is completed to the correct standard.

The Essential Skills:

You must possess 3+ years practical hands-on working experience of all aspects of maintenance, health & safety and fire regulations within a hotel property environment.

Possess working knowledge of boiler systems, air conditioning units, and general building plant works

Must have some admin skills including a strong knowledge of Health & Safety record keeping

Must be commercially aware, understanding the importance of working within costs & departmental budgets

Must be flexible in work and be prepared to deal with out of hours emergency situations on occasion

Proven standards of IT skills and good standards of numeracy & literacy

Must be highly customer focused with excellent communication skills both face to face, on the telephone & via email

Must be highly organised and well versed in completing paperwork in a timely fashion

Will be an excellent team player whilst having first class attention to detail

Ideally be First Aid and Fire Marshall Trained.
