About us

Worlds End Studios is a Business Centre with a difference. With its three internal courtyards and balconies this does not look like the usual office environment. Add to that fact that the clients all have a creative element to their businesses and you form a relaxed and friendly professional atmosphere. Though we look after over a hundred companies the WES team is a small busy team.

We are looking for a passionate and self-motivated handy man to help looking after our beautiful building. Ideal candidates will have a background in general construction, changing light fittngs and bulbs, and painting tasks with a can do attitude. The Handy Man will be responsible for making quick repairs that have been broken or have fallen into disrepair within our building. Working hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning 8am to 12pm. Because this is a part time role candidates must be local and not have along commute

General Responsibilities:

- Sweep all courtyards
- Sweep and weed front and back of the building
- Empty all ashtrays
- Water all plants (frequency is seasonal)
- Ensure courtyards are neat and tidy by 10am
- Look in maintenance book to see what items have been entered
- Change all lightbulbs needed
- Notify Assistant manager of any lightbulb needing to be ordered
- Ensure reception bin bag drawers are full and stock of bin bags is good, notify manager if more needed
- Notify management of any repairs needed / faults found
- Ensure maintenance cupboard is kept clear and tidy
- Ensure all tools are on site and in working order
- Assist clients with heavy deliveries to their units
- Clean out and bleach bin stores
- Test emergency lighting
- Sweep all balconies
- Sweep for cobwebs
- Clean WCs and Kitchen fans filters
- Check all WCs perfume machines
- Complete timesheet noting all jobs carried out that day
- Wipe all window sills of dust
- Light refurbishment of unit/communal area
- General maintenance help when asked by management
- Security of building during events
- Storing and recovering decorations, tables, chairs from various cupboards

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 12 per week

Salary: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
