Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias

A position has come available for a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join a leading packaging producer based in Telford. This role is on a contract offer which currently sits at 3 months with the view of extending.
Responsibilities
- Reactive and Preventive Maintenance of equipment on site
- Fault Finding on Siemens PLCS, Pneumatics, DC/AC Drives
- Maintain maintenance documents and drawings to the required standard to ensure legal compliance.
- Carry out routine planned maintenance of selected plant & equipment to a pre-defined schedule.
- Ensure all routine servicing is carried out with minimal impact on production and engineering.
- Carry out or facilitate repairs to any plant or equipment that has failed.
Candidate
- Experience in a manufacturing background as either a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias or Multiskilled
- A minimum electrical qualification (industrial facing) at NVQ level 3, BTEC ONC/OND, NVQ IV/V, BTEC HNC/HND level
- Strong fault diagnosis and rectification on control systems (PLCs, SCADA etc) and electrical systems and circuits from 24V d.c up to 415V a.c
- Good working knowledge on electrical installations, electrical testing, lighting maintenance, in service inspection and testing of electrical equipment Competent in the use of testing equipment and other hand tools that would be expected to be used in maintenance activities
- Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance
