Job description
A well established, investing and growing FMCG Food Manufacturer in Shropshire is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineering Manager to join the business. Reporting into the site manager, this role is responsible for leading a large engineering team both strategically and operationally in a fast paced food manufacturing environment and ensuring continuity of operations.
Maintenance Engineering Manager responsibilities include:
Lead and develop your team and ongoing performance
Plan and control maintenance of utilities to ensure agreed availability within budgeted costs and develop and implement plans to make efficiency improvements
Organise and implement capital projects from feasibility to successful commissioning liaising with all internal and external parties and utilising an effective project management framework in order to achieve projects to agreed timescales and costs
Track assets and ensure calibrations are carried out where needed.
Plan, organise and implement preventative maintenance and critical spares availability to achieve target plant availabilities through agreed KPIs
Support maintenance and upkeep of all process control and automated systems linked to production.
Ensure safe running and compliance of all pressure systems and associated production utilities.
Work with Operations managers to look for efficiency improvements and implement capital projects from feasibility to successful commissioning liaising with all internal and external parties and utilising an effective project management framework in order to achieve projects to agreed timescales and costs.
Effective management of supplier network to drive responsive engineering and maintenance support for the sites.
You will be a, Maintenance Engineering Manager / Engineering Manager used to leading a large team within and FMCG, fast paced, Manufacturing environment. Food manufacturing experience will be deemed advantageous.
