Avon Local Councils’ Association (ALCA) is a not-for-profit membership organisation supporting local Parish and Town Councils across Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire, to provide positive outcomes for their communities. Working exclusively with Local Councils for forty-eight years, and with a membership of 94% across the Avon area, ALCA understands Councils’ needs and provides friendly, professional and supportive advice, training, information, advocacy and networking services (locally and nationally) to meet these needs.

Avon Local Councils’ Association is looking for Chief Operating Officer to oversee its ongoing operations and procedures and the delivery of professional support services to its member town and parish councils.

We are looking for an experienced self -motivated and efficient manager with the ability to deal with a broad range of responsibilities from directing day-to-day operations to providing strategic advice. Ideally you will be located in the Avon Local Councils’ area of operation and if you also have excellent people and communication skills, as well as an ongoing commitment to continual professional development we’d like to hear from you
