Apprentice Facilities Engineer
Location: Waltham Cross, Herts
Salary: £25,000
Monday to Friday – 45 hours per week (inclusive of study/development/training time).
Core Hours: 1pm to 10pm
Reynolds Catering Supplies is one of the leading fresh fruit & vegetable suppliers to the foodservice industry and the only remaining national family-run greengrocer in the UK.
We are currently looking to recruit an Apprentice to join our Facilities team in Waltham Cross. The Apprentice Facilities Engineer will work towards a professional qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, acquiring a diverse range of skills, knowledge, and experience through instruction and “on the job training” in order to support in delivery of products and services and to become a highly skilled engineer for the Reynolds business.
Accountabilities:
- To attend and successfully complete all requirements of the programme of off-the-job training delivered by a designated College.
- Completing all tasks set by the Facilities Engineer and assisting wherever possible.
- Observing existing strategies and techniques and offering suggestions for improvement.
- Conducting research and collating data.
- Traveling to different sites and gaining practical experience in other parts of the Reynolds Group.
- Working closely with staff to foster professional values and build good relationships.
- Observation of all Health and Safety guidelines at all times.
- Attending meetings and workshops.
- Submitting to all forms of evaluation during the apprenticeship.
Training:
- Training and Development (including opportunities to attend external events).
- A nationally recognised qualification.
The apprentice will be monitored and assessed on a regular basis to ensure that they are making satisfactory progress towards the achievement of their qualifications.
To be successful in your application for the role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills & experience.
- Educated to GCSE Level. Grade C or above in English, Maths and Science.
- Practical evidence of an interest in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and an aptitude for its application.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in mathematics.
