This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading automation integrator who install, maintain, and supply equipment to many leading companies not only across the UK but also globally within automated warehousing. They have an exciting opportunity for a up and coming Engineering to join their team.
The Maintenance Engineer will be at one of the clients' sites maintaining all equipment, this position is well-suited to someone who is flexible, adaptable and has worked with a automation/FMCG environment previously.
This position reports to the Site/Area Manager. Every team member will be working on both planned and reactive maintenance breakdowns as well as other engineering duties.
Responsibilities:
It is expected that all Engineers will possess proven experience of dealing with electro-mechanical faults and preventative maintenance operations within a warehouse environment.
- Maintenance Engineering Background
- Mechanical or Electrical experience
- Mechanical strip-down/re-assembly, basic field wiring, machine calibration and system testing.
- Day to day maintenance of site MHE to a high standard,
- Look to continuously improve all aspects of new and old equipment, be health and safety conscience.
- Work against timeframes to complete reactive repairs.
- Interact with on-site management keeping them informed of repair and maintenance progression and address their concerns in a professional manner.
- Service and repair current installed products and demonstrate hands on ownership of issues to achieve a fast resolution.
- Involvement in continuous improvement and enhancement opportunities
- Maintain product flow at all times
- Ensure on-site spares are kept to optimum levels
- Appreciate Health & Safety considerations and be able to carry out risk assessments
- This role is working 12hr shifts, 4 on 4 off
Requirements:
- NVQ/BTEC/C&G Lv3 or higher in an Electro-Mechanical Engineering discipline
- Previous Leadership beneficial but not essential
- Pneumatic and Hydraulic knowledge beneficial.
- Computer literate with basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Use of CMMS system and engineering stores
