As a progressive student-centred College, we are now looking for a Maintenance Engineer.

Details of the role
The successful candidate will have responsibility for plumbing works on site and will contribute to the provision of a safe environment for users of the buildings and grounds on all sites owned by the college. You will carry out reactive and planned maintenance works, project work and compliance monitoring of college buildings, equipment and assets as required.
The role includes carrying out general maintenance works (carpentry, painting and bricklaying etc) in line with own capabilities and where necessary additional qualifications/safety certificates. You will also assist as part of the wider Facilities team with other general duties as required to facilitate the safe and smooth running of the site for the benefit of our staff and students. You will be expected to participate in the provision of an out of hours 'On call' service rota.

Job Requirements
Applicants will have gained an NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in the relevant trade discipline (Plumbing) or the equivalent level of time served practical experience. You should also have passes in English & Maths at GCSE level or equivalent standard.
In addition, you should have experience in planned and reactive maintenance works, ideally gained within a large, complex and busy building environment. You will have experience of working in a team and independently.
