Job title: Maintenance Lead/Senior Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location: Brierley Hill
Hours of work: 6.00am - 3.00pm
Salary: £40,000
We are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Brierley Hill for an experience Maintenance Engineer to take the lead on day-to-day engineering tasks and ensure machine breakdowns are prioritised and repaired efficiently.
Main responsibilities
- Follow all advise and direction given by the SHEQ Advisor regarding Health, Safety & Environmental matters.
- To provide Supervisor duties during supervisor absence
- Support the Maintenance Supervisor with the running of the maintenance team.
- To be willing to train on the required use of MasterPack & Agility.
- Be the lead engineer on the day-to-day engineering tasks.
- Responsible for daily completion of engineering tasks
- Responsible for being the first point of contact for machine breakdowns.
- Responsible for improving the maintenance response and MTTR.
- Support in the completion of SOPs for all processes.
- Support with the input of agility information.
- Lead the engineers in improving 5s and continuous improvement.
- Be involved in Internal & External Audits as required.
- Liaise with Production Supervisors and Line Leaders for Machine & Equipment Improvements
- To assist the Maintenance Manager in all Site Projects & Installations
- To lead coaching sessions to improve individuals.
- To Provide technical support and solutions to the maintenance team
- To support the supervisor on maintaining critical spares and 5s areas
- To lead the Maintenance team during machine/Equipment installation & repairs
- Any other business that may be required but not stated above from the Maintenance Manager.

- Experience of Leading & Developing a team.
- Extensive engineer experience and repair skills
- Integrity
- Working under pressure
- Ability to motivate and encourage others.
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Driven attitude
- 5s & Continue Improvement experience.
- Strong technical engineering ability
- Experience in understanding and communicating technical drawings.
- PC literate
- Experience with developing new skills
