VACANCY: Maintenance Engineer
LOCATION: Chesterfield, S41
ABOUT US:
Fusion Group is part of the AVK Group; who are market leaders in the design, manufacture and supply of valves, pipe fittings, hydrants and flow control equipment to the Water, Waste Water, Oil and Gas industries throughout the world.
At our site in Chesterfield, we are looking for a well-rounded Electrical bias Maintenance Engineer to join our team. You will carry out various repair activities to ensure plant, machinery and general facilities across the site are available and reliable. Assisting in the reduction of plant downtime, continuous improvement initiatives, health and safety, and environmental project work.
Our Engineers are problem solvers, alongside your day to day, you’ll get involved in CI and project work. You’ll also play a key part in the on-going growth of a high performing site.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
· To carry out Planned and Preventative Maintenance work
· Respond to breakdowns by carrying out Reactive Maintenance
· To be able to coordinate and cooperate with production to ensure the smooth running and availability of plant and equipment
· Provide training support for apprentices and work colleagues
· Respond to all aspects of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects, supporting cost reduction, efficiency, delivery, and quality improvements
ABOUT YOU:
· Recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering - Educated to either City & Guilds, NVQ3, ONC, and/or equivalent
· 17th or 18th Edition wiring regulations
· Maintenance and repair of PLC systems
· Logical problem-solving approach
· Experience of Machinery Fault Finding and Repairs
· Enthusiastic and Self-motivated
· Understand and interpret electrical drawings

WORKING HOURS:
Double Days Monday – Friday Rotating Shifts
0600-1400
1400-2200
