Job description
This is a new purpose-built development which is a 5 bedded residential property (all self-contained accommodation) for complex individuals with autism and/or learning disabilities including behaviours that challenge. This is a chance to be part of a brand new team who will shape the service from the very beginning and make it a flagship service serving the people of Burnley and surrounding Greater Manchester boroughs.
The role
As a Maintenance Assistant your primary duty will be to ensure that our residents live in a home that is a safe environment for them that adheres to health and safety standards. You will need to work closely with the home manager to ensure that all fixtures and fittings are in excellent condition and equipment is regularly serviced. Duties will include:
- Ensuring the home is maintained as a safe and secure place to live for the residents
- Maintaining the home and grounds to ensure they are in excellent condition at all times
- Work closely with the home manager on long term maintenance plans
- Check and repair fixtures and fittings that may include lighting and heating
