The Casualty teams provide a wide range of maintenance support for the BA fleet of A320s, B777s, B787s, A350s and A380s.
With 111 long-haul and 142 short-haul aircraft the possibilities are endless, and the fleet continues to grow with more A350s and Boeing 787 Dreamliners on the way.
This change has helped to create positions for Maintenance Assists to join our team in helping to deliver the Casualty maintenance.
What you’ll do
Your focus will be to provide general assistance to all maintenance colleagues ensuring that safety, airworthiness, and customer standards are delivered in a quality and cost-effective manner. The role has responsibility for ensuring that materials, tools, documentation, and equipment are available when and where required, and that standards are maintained.
You can truly make this role your own, by being proactive and using your initiative in a wide range of tasks.
Skills and Capabilities
- Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Prioritisation, planning and organisation
- Problem solving and acting on own initiative
- Capable of carrying out manual handling tasks
- Working to deadlines and standards
- IT literacy
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to comprehend procedures, technical documentation and demonstrates knowledge of airmanship and safety management systems
- Knowledge of the airport and/or maintenance environment (desirable)
Qualifications/Experience
- Valid full UK driving licence (or equivalent)
