When a guest walks into our Hotel - imagine that first look around they take, followed by that sigh of relief because they've arrived to their home away from home, be it for a night or a week, and it's perfect. Everything is working just the way it should.
What you'll do
You will work alongside a team of Maintenance Technicians with many years of experience in varied roles, initially working on basic maintenance tasks you will be completing tasks and learning varied skills such as
- carrying out any repair or rectifying any maintenance issues throughout the hotel as and when they arise
- respond to and attend to guest repair requests
- perform preventative maintenance on tools, kitchen and mechanical equipment
- Report any new or developing engineering works that need to be addressed to the Engineering Manager
- Assist with maintaining the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel including physical, mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc
- Assist with energy saving and green initiatives within the hotel
- Work alongside a mentor within the department, to learn a variety of skills
As well as on the job training, your training will be completed through a local training provider and includes time spent at the beginning of the programme completing your enrolment & initial functional skills assessments, as well as an End point assessment to complete your training and gain your qualification.
