McPherson Cabinetry is a dynamic growing company; producing and installing cabinetry for multi-unit housing projects, new builds, renovations, and high-end custom homes all over Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.

We are now seeking a CNC Operator/Shop Crew

Responsibilities

• Unloading and organizing all sheet goods from suppliers

• Informing the Lead Hand or Production Manager when stock is getting low

• Handle product safely and without damage

• Loading and running the machine with Gcode from the office

• Labelling parts according to our system and working with the Edgebander operator to minimize the amount of extra sorting required

• Break down and dispose of waste from the machine into our wood bin

• Ensure propane tanks are full for the forklift

• Troubleshoot issues with the machine and be diligent with the maintenance schedule

• Operate equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner

• Keep area clean and tidy

Qualifications

· Experience with forklifts is required.

· Experience running a nesting machine is preferred, but not required

· Knowledge of woodworking tools and Cabinetry

· Must be able to work in, and contribute to, a team environment

· Must be able to lift and carry 60 - 80 pounds

· Must be dependable, reliable,possess a strong attention to detailand the ability to

prioritize effectively

· Wages will be dependent on experience

Salary: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
