Job description
You will be working closely with all members of the HR team, reporting into our Head of HR. This busy and varied role's primary focus will be HR administration, being responsible for creating, maintaining and updating all HR related documentation, data and HR systems. Alongside this you will have a keen enthusiasm to support the delivery of a reliable and comprehensive team support service being the first point of contact for HR queries for our teams across all offices.
Your attention to detail and ability to process high levels of data will be second to none, alongside a disciplined and structured approach to planning and organising your workload and accuracy. To be successful in the role you will be able to work independently but also be able to work as part of a team with incredible interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- First point of contact for HR queries
- Prepare new starter contracts and other documentation, working with the Recruitment team to ensure an effective and smooth onboarding for both the candidate and line manager
- Conducting full background screening for all new starters and providing outgoing employee reference requests
- Manage the administration process for leavers, probationary periods, annual appraisals, and employee changes
- Administration and monitoring of sickness and absence data including return to work processes, reporting any concerns or absence triggers to the Head of HR
- Updating our global organisational charts with employee changes in a timely manner
- Creating, maintaining, and updating all HR related documentation, data and HR systems
- Assist in the delivery of company induction sessions ensuring a seamless onboarding experience
- Making rail and air travel arrangements and accommodation bookings across the company
- Greeting visiting guests to the office promptly in a confident and professional manner
- Actively lead the engagement and charity activities working with academy students
- Assist with HR compliance audits and other HR projects
- Adhoc admin and employee engagement tasks
- Be an ambassador of the company, always uploading and demonstrating the company values
Experience:
- Working experience in an office environment
- Working within HR and knowledge of HR administration procedures is ideal but not essential
- Experience in delivering exceptional customer service either to internal or external customers
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiastic with a positive attitude, works well with others, supportive, and motivates others
- Can prioritise and manage daily workloads
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Be comfortable in a fast-moving organisation and be able to embrace change
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Maintain and demonstrate high levels of confidentiality and integrity
