We are currently looking for an Machine Setter to join our fantastic team based in Nuneaton. This role will be working Monday to Friday with overtime in busy periods.
This is a varied, complex and rewarding position that requires the right attitude. Tarmac can offer a robust training programme to the right candidate following a probationary period.

Role Responsibility
A typical day working for Packed Products as the Machine Setter will include:
Improving the safety, quality and productivity standards on site – I will be responsible for my own and my team's safety in accordance with current health and safety regulations
Having timely and well-engineered resolutions to breakdowns providing a solutions focused approach
To produce quality packed aggregates to a production gold standard, in accordance with customer specifications across multiple product variations
I will be fully accountable for machine production outputs aligned to the sites S&OP production targets on a monthly basis
Complete all daily machinery standard checks; ensuring all documentation is completed relating to safety, performance, availability and quality requirements
Responsible for all machine specific OLM Schedules; including recording and reporting aligned to best in class performance as per skills matrix
To support Mobile Fitting teams in fault diagnosis, repairs and planned maintenance activities
Set up and operate automated machines in accordance with production requirements on site and aligned to the training matrix
Responsible for critical spares, inventory management, on-shelf availability, re-ordering process aligned to an efficient Kanban/FIFO philosophy
Ensure housekeeping and visual standards are maintained across all production areas in line with health and safety, CI objectives and 5S requirements – being proud of your equipment and working environment
Delivering localised training commensurate with the production operation; transferring skills, knowledge and behaviours to peers, acting as a lead trainer and mentor for future succession planning. The key is the continuous assessment of training delivered to maintain best in class performance
Adhere to all company rules and policies and showing leadership on site to positively challenge behaviours and actions that do not meet the Tarmac standards
To maintain high levels of work performance including attendance, timekeeping and taking pride in your role, individually and collectively
