Do you have excellent communication skills and an analytical mindset? Are you a natural problem solver with strong mechanical skills? We are thrilled to be working with an exceptional Product Manufacturer who are looking for a talented Machine Operator to join them at their premise in Glasgow.
Your rate of pay and hours of work
This is a temporary position with a pay rate of £12.00 to £14.00 per hour. You will be working a backshift pattern of Monday to Friday, 3pm until 10pm or 4pm until 11pm. This role has the potential to turn into a permanent role after a 4-6 week trial period, for the right candidate.
Responsibilities in your new role
This is an exciting role where you will take ownership of the internal finishing end-to-end processes. In order to succeed at this, you will implement strict quality control, ensuring products are finished to a high standard in line with company specifications. Along with this, you will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is well-maintained and ready for use, overseeing stock control and managing process components and consumables and liaising with other departments to ensure efficient handover of goods.
In addition, the Health & Safety procedures and regulations within the business are of monumental importance, which you will adhere to and implement at all times. You will ensure the safety and security of equipment in the work area while reporting any accidents to management in a timely manner. You will ensure relevant PPE is worn at all times.
Your personality, experience, and qualifications
As the new Machine Operator, you should hold a minimum of 1 year of experience within a similar machine operation role. You will have basic mechanical engineering knowledge, along with an understanding of process manufacturing and the safe operation of hand/power tools.
As an individual, you will have immense attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and delegate tasks where appropriate.
