Job description
We are currently looking for individuals to join the Machine Shop team as General Machinists to assist with the boring and preparation of cast tubes.
- Starting salary: up to £29398.72 inc shift allowance, with a basic hourly rate starting at £12.22ph.

Ideally we are looking for individual who have experience using Conventional Machinery (Lathes or Mills) how exposure within a similar tool room or Machine Shop environment will be considers as training can be provided for the right candidate.
You will be required to:
- To bore cast tubes to the Boring programme using deep hole boring machines.
- Ensure the reduction or elimination of any rework for surface finish.
- Data collection i.e., recording of measurements before and after boring.
- Visual inspection on bore finish.
- Marking up of swarf drums (alloy identification).
- On/off loading of tubes from racks and storage using overhead crane.
- Understanding of quality issues and ability to make necessary adjustments to ensure tubes pass.
- Familiarity with modern management techniques such as TPM and 5s.
- Working safely throughout all activities in line with Paralloy’s safety standards and procedures.
