This is an excellent opportunity for a Machine Operator to join a market leading engineering company in Stonehouse
They operate in a wide range of industries including oil & gas, aerospace, defence and automotive.
The Machine Shop Setter / Operator will be responsible for all machine and in–process inspection of customer product. This role will be moved to a permanent night shift after the training.
Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for quality of work and level of production
- To prepare and machine customers components to meet drawing / specification requirements.
- In process inspection of customer product.
- The correct use of company documentation including the Aventa system.
- Movement of work to the correct designated areas around the shop floor.
- Ensure machines are operated according to site and manufacturers recommendations.
- Monitoring and reporting on all material effecting processing.
- Stripping of flat bed components, as required
- Ensure that components are coated accordingly to the quality standards / process documents for each application
- Inspect parts before and after processing to ensure preceding operations have been carried out correctly and to verify that your own work has met the required standards
- To gain a thorough understanding, through training provided and experience, of the factors that affect coating quality and be able to use that knowledge to ensure components are processed to approved methods
Experience and skills:
- Previous experience in machine operating
- General education required with good numerate skills
- Good attention to detail, and problem solving skills
- Ability to read engineering drawings advantageous
Salary / package:
- Pension – match contribution from 4% – 10%
