Job description
Our client based in Poole has an immediate requirement for 3 experienced manufacturing machine operators to join their busy late shift finishing team. The requirement is for confident independent individuals who have a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate would have previous experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing setting operating machinery.
The duties will include the following:
- Operating of finishing equipment producing finished labels in compliance with company operating procedures.
- Ensure machinery runs at a maximum output, bearing in mind quality, machinery limitations and health and safety.
- Co-operation with all company systems including health and safety, BRC accreditations and all paperwork systems.
- Carry out general duties which may include packing, sheeting and any other duties that may be required.
Previous experience in the print industry operating print finishing equipment would be a distinct advantage; however, we are happy to consider applications from people who had recent experience of operating production machinery in a fast moving manufacturing environment.
Applicants must have a keen eye for detail and the ability to operate machinery and equipment to the highest levels of efficiency. We are looking for people who are ambitious and driven as there could be lots of opportunity for further training and development in the business for the right people.
These positions are offered on a permanent basis with immediate starts available for the right candidates. The standard hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 16:00 pm till 01:00 am, which is a standard 36 hour working week; any overtime over 36 hrs is paid at x 1.5.
Full training will be given, all training to take place on the standard 08:00 am till 16:00 pm day shift
There is a starting pay rate of £12.50 per hour as well as 25 days holiday (3 for Christmas) plus bank holidays, Company Pension and free tea and coffee.
