Working Pattern: Average 38.5 HPW; Dayshift of 8am-8pm on a 3 on; 3 off shift pattern
The H11 Production team require 2 Extrusion Operators responsible for setting up and running a blown film production line. The successful candidates will also be responsible for the health and safety, quality and performance of the extruder, and other machines as required.
Main Responsibilities include (but are not limited to:)
- Use safe working practices at all times.
- Check initial accuracy and quality of product and remedy any deviation from specification prior to start of job run.
- Set up/re-install production line from extruder through to finished product in the event of a job change or breakdown.
- Monitor and maintain efficient running of extruder during job run.
- Identify all line equipment faults and rectify or report as appropriate.
- Make regular quality checks on product against customer specification.
- Working as a team with Packer/Operators within the production unit.
The ideal candidate will have:
- The ability to read and understand production plans and specification sheets
- Experience of understanding and performing QA checks
- Experience of operating a machine within a manufacturing environment and maintaining quality standards
- Experience of the setting up and running of blown film production lines is desirable for this role.
