The Opportunity

The Filler Operator has an important priority to ensure the efficient operation of Tetra filling equipment, quality output, sanitation, and supports maintenance activities on a consistent basis and efficient safe manner.

This is a 3rd Shift position, working Monday through Friday from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am. This position pays $22.50 hourly plus a shift differential.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain the efficiency of the Tetra Pak filler.
Complies with good manufacturing practices.
Maintains accurate records.
Supports quality systems.
Maintains communication within the production team ensuring smooth shift transitions, etc.
Technical Support in appropriate maintenance activities.
Monitors raw materials and supplies to ensure efficient production.
Package integrity checks.
All sanitation and sterilization aspects of the machine.
Assist PLE operator(s).
Judge and prioritize downtime events.
Ensure adequate supply of packaging materials and communicate resource requirements for replenishment.
Determine acceptable quality ranges on packaging and when to shut down as required.
Coordinate communication between palletizing and DE operations.
Makes judgment calls on timing of changeovers keeping in line with production schedule.
Provides back-up to Manufacturing Lead in his absence (vacation, time off, sickness, etc.).
Other duties as assigned.

Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Manufacturing related experience preferred.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required.
Knowledge of good manufacturing practices preferred.
Experience working on Tetra Pak (A/3 Flex) equipment related experience required.
