Job description
We are seeking a Production Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in tooling, quality control, and materials handling.
New opportunities have now opened up at our manufacturing plant at Aquadart Bathrooms in Keighley, we are looking for new production operatives to help run our shower trays stone plant.
You will start at the bottom as a low skilled operator, working yourself up towards a fully trained employee.
We have 3 different skill level pay bands, you as a new employee will work towards them.
Pay bands levels are A,B&C - you will be starting from pay band level A.
We also have a weekly production bonus scheme that gets added to your weekly wage.
On the shop floor you will be responsible with helping run the production line as smoothly as possible working closely with the operator's next to you as well as the shop floor supervisors. Job Duties as follows,
Cleaning dollies out making sure the carriers are ready to put our formed tray skins into place ready to be casted.
Spraying a release agent on to the top hats so they are ready to be popped further around the track.
Vac lift - lifting the stone trays out of the Carriers and placing them on an stream flow track correctly.
Using our CNC trimming machines that help cut the off cuts off the tray.
Packaging - looking for any defects in the product, making sure the quality is at a high standards before pushing through the packaging machine.
Labelling - Putting the correct labels onto the tray pallets before shipping out to the customers.
Shift times
Morning shift - 6am till 2pm
Afternoon shift - 2pm till 10pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 12pm till 8pm
As well as overtime when the company requires it.
Responsibilities:
- Operate production machinery and equipment
- Fabricate and assemble parts using hand tools and SolidWorks
- Perform quality control checks on finished products
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
- Handle materials and supplies as needed
Experience:
- Experience with tooling and hand tools
- Basic math skills
- Ability to weld is a plus
- Familiarity with SolidWorks software is preferred
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
