Cavaghan & Gray, part of 2 Sisters Food Group are actively seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, competent individual for the role of Line Assistant to join our team based in Carlisle.
We produce a huge range of chilled food products for some of the major retailers - it is a fast-paced environment, where things can change very quickly, and no two days are ever the same.
As a Line Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Assist Line Manager on all aspects of the day to day running of a line / area
- Utilise members of the team, plant and equipment to optimum advantage to ensure maximum efficiency / productivity
- Assist with maintaining highest levels of safety, quality and hygiene
- Assist with introducing and training new starters
- Assist to run the line / area in accordance with the line schedule to ensure despatch transportation deadlines are met
- Key interactions with site functions (inc. H&S, Technical, Hygiene, Engineering and any support services)
- Where applicable, help drive changeovers and minimise downtime
- Deputise for Line Manager, including meetings / projects
Our ideal candidate for a Line Assistant role:
- Previous experience in manufacturing environment
- Able to follow instructions
- Excellent communication skills
- Good working ethics

- Ability to produce data with accurate information

Working hours:
- Sunday - Wednesday 21.30-05.30, Thursday 21.30-4.30
