Machine Learning Engineer (Natural Language Processing) – All levels 40K-90K – UK Remote

This Machine Learning Engineer (NLP) will be responsible for:
- Utilising SOTA NLP techniques to build and refine models and recipes with a 'problem-first' approach
- Evaluating, tracking, and improving the performance of NLP models through MLOps
- Continuously updating NLP and machine learning knowledge and implementing new techniques for model enhancement.
- Integrating NLP models into software applications and APIs for real-time text analysis.
- Guiding how they build and scale machine learning operations
- Documenting code, processes, and results for knowledge sharing
- Communicating technical concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders
- Playing an active role in the wider team and growth of the business
This Machine Learning Engineer (NLP) will:
- Have a solid background in machine learning with a focus on NLP
- Be a relentless problem solver, understanding requirements and designing solutions
- Have an entrepreneurial spirit and an interest in building world-changing ethical AI solutions
- Have excellent communication skills and be able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Have experience working with large-scale data sets and distributed computing frameworks
- Be able to understand and implement state-of-the-art NLP research papers
- Be proficient in Python and ML & DS libraries e.g. PyTorch, Transformers, scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, MLFlow
- Have experience working with Azure, AWS or GCP
- Be familiar with NLP tools such as NLTK, spaCy, or Gensim.
- Have an understanding of how NLP mechanisms work e.g. LLMs and vector databases
- Be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
