The Company
4-Xtra Technologies is an innovative tech start-up, building upon initial academic work in the theory and predictability of extreme events and utilising innovative machine learning and artificial intelligence methods, to develop a SaaS based extreme event forecasting risk modelling solution and a complementary synthetic data generation tool for the increasingly complex world of financial markets and beyond.
The Role
As a Machine Learning Developer, you'll work closely with the Principal Data Scientist on all stages of projects, hold responsibility for rapidly developing and converting proof-of-concept projects to enterprise solutions, produce machine learning models including supervised and unsupervised methods, design, build and maintain our strategic platform and tooling, and communicate findings to key stakeholders. This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing team and get involved in all areas of the software development lifecycle.
Please note that the role will be largely remote, with occasional in person meetings in Leeds.

The Successful Candidate
- Graduate in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field - an MSc or PhD looked upon favourably.
- Demonstrable experience within the data science space.
- Confidence in deploying machine learning solutions.
- Superb analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent project management capabilities, leading tasks end-to-end.
- 2+ years of experience in machine learning development or related role.
