Lunchtime Supervisor
Location: St Joseph’s Catholic School, Durham Road, Ushaw Moor, Durham DH7 9PA
Grade: Grade B SCP 3 (£20,812 per annum), pro rata
Hours: 6.75 hours per week, Term Time Only (38 Weeks), Permanent
St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Ushaw Moor is a small, friendly and supportive Catholic school within the tight knit community of Ushaw Moor. We are proud to be part of the Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, a family of secondary, middle, primary and first schools in Durham, Gateshead, Northumberland and Sunderland. Bishop Wilkinson is the largest catholic education trust in the North East of England, which will have a total of 48 schools by the summer of 2022. This is an exciting time to join our supportive, and growing team.
We are seeking an individual who is an enthusiastic, caring and responsible person to join our Lunchtime Supervisory Team, to help supervise and engage children in activities throughout the lunchtime and to ensure the wellbeing and safety of pupils, in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will have:
- Good social skills and an ability to communicate effectively
- Initiative, as well as the ability to work as part of a team
- Patience and sensitivity in dealing with children, with an ability to empathise and respond to individual needs
- Developed the skills of Confidentiality, Punctuality and Reliability
