To take responsibility for all aspects of Health and Safety within the department on a day-to-day basis. To set consistent high standards of Health and Safety in all working practices. To take part in department’s Fire Training and Practices and to ensure safe working practices within the department. To ensure that you are fully conversant in all the Hotel’s Disciplinary and Grievance Policies and Procedures, and the Code of Conduct. To provide excellent sense of welcome and ensure all guests are greeted using correct phraseology and assistance by opening and closing hotel’s entrances. To carry arriving and departing guests’ luggage ensuring the safety and security of such luggage whilst in the hotel’s possession. To display excellence in all communications methods, both formal and informal, written and verbal, at all times. To handle guest and customer complaints with precision, speed and in a professional manner and to the hotel’s procedure. Be responsible for planning, organizing and monitoring the day-to-day operation of the department. To ensure the departments overall objectives relate to the Hotel’s strategies overall. To ensure that the Shift Handover book is at all times kept up to date and all information included is presented and in a professional, business like manner. To ensure that any necessary action noted in the book, is actioned immediately. To be fully committed to maintaining an effective, professional working relationship with all departments and encourage positive teamwork at all times. You might be asked to cover some day shifts as well, please confirm you will be able to do so.
