WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
We hire mostly on personality potential but here are a few of our requirements...
To succeed in the role of Luggage Porter, you will need the following qualities and skills.
- Will open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving property.
- Has the ability to lift and carry bags up to the weight of 30kg, full manual handling training provided.
- Will inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities.
- Will identify and explain room features to guests upon arrival to all guest rooms (e.g., use of room key, mini-bar, ice and vending areas, in-room safe, valet laundry services)
- Will ensure full knowledge of ‘What’s going on’. This is defined but not limited to Knowledge of the news, Knowledge of special events in the area/London, Understanding of daily weather forecast, Full awareness of hotel events (Timings and locations)
- Will transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated storage area.
- Will assist guests/visitors in and out of vehicles including parking and retrieving cars from the hotel car parking facilities (drivers’ licence is desirable but not required).

The Westin London City Hotel Residences is a key part of the redevelopment of the former Queensbridge House site as well as an independently operated destination restaurant. The site stretches from Queenhithe Dock, the oldest in London, and runs north to south, bridging across Upper Thames Street and giving it a prominent position over one of the primary arterial routes through the City of London.
