Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an LPG Operations Manager to join our friendly team in Guernsey! You will have overall responsibility for the Network and LPG sites, ensuring that all personnel operate safely, and deliver high quality services to internal/external customers and stakeholders.
- Responsible for definition and delivery of planned preventative and corrective maintenance required to deliver the asset management plan in accordance with schedule, ALARP and cost requirements
- Responsible for assuring all work activities carried out on-site (COMAH, MAH, Public Highway or Private) are controlled through continuously improved Risk Assessments, Operating Procedures and Safe Work Practices
- Ensure the Operational performance is recorded, communicated, and continuously improved in line with the companys values and behaviours
- Responsible for the development and implementation all Operational Procedures and Processes that affect Guernsey Operations
- Develop and delivery of operational plans in line with agreed cost codes and ALARP, time and business priorities
- Ensure fixed assets perform their required function effectively and efficiently whilst protecting health, safety, and the environment
- Ensure asset risk is reduced through the continuous assessment of preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across IEG
- Main Site Controller for Upper-Tier COMAH Site (LPG Storage)
- Ensure the safety of all personnel on-site assisted by the deployment of the HSE Management System
- Ensure operational plans target risk control and risk reduction across all asset classes (meters, services, mains, pressure storage, pressure piping, rotating equipment, process control and emergency shutdown systems)
- Deliver optimum operational performance across all teams
- Develop and deploy effective weekly, monthly, and annual operational plans to ensure all internal and external customer service levels are met and where possible exceeded
- Ensure that aa robust logistical plan is in place (by overseeing the LPG Site Controller) to assure movement of products into and off site
- Ensure all personnel are developed and supported (mentoring, training, and succession planning) to provide optimal operational performance against the delivery of the North Stars
- Ensure clear and constructive liaison with all operational teams on all matters of Operation, Monitoring, Inspection, Maintenance, and Repairs
- Collaborate with and support other areas of the business to achieve their objectives

Provide the required technical support for operational activities as scheduled in the CMMS, and where required within other areas of the business
The Package:

£65,000 starting salary
- Bonus System (Between 3% and up to a maximum of 10% of base salary)

BUPA
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience in Technical and/or Operational Management in the LPG/Oil/Gas Industry
- Membership of relevant professional institute certified by the Engineering Council (IMechE/IChemE/Energy/IGEM)
- Experience in leading operational teams
- Knowledge of Process Safety (CCPS/EI or equivalent)
- Great communication skills

Desirable Skill Set but not limited to:
- Obtained or working towards a professional Health and Safety qualification (NEBOSH/IOSH/PS)
