Mono Equipment designs and manufactures a wide range of commercial bakery equipment at its factory in Swansea. The product range includes ovens, depositors, dough processing equipment and fryers. With global distribution, Mono’s products are considered market leading in many of its product categories

We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Lorry Driver. The successful candidate will ensure safe and efficient delivery of Mono Equipment products to designated locations throughout the UK. Ensuring correct handling and delivery of Bakery Equipment and delivers with high standards of customer care.

Weekly UK travel will be required and overnight stays are a definite.

What you need to know about the role

  • You would be delivering Mono Equipment to customers throughout the UK & Ireland
  • There will be Early Starts, Late finishes, Weekends and there will be Overnight stays 2 to 3 times a week
  • You need to be Health and Safety conscious with the ability to maintain logs, track routes and deliveries
  • You will be required to complete necessary daily maintenance checks on Vehicles and action as appropriate
  • You will need to have excellent understanding of all relevant laws and rules of driving and the ability to follow them
  • You will need to undertake all necessary Health and Safety Training and any other required Training specific to the success of the role.
  • You will be expected to be good at communicating at all levels to ensure the safe completion of deliveries
  • There will be a requirement for Overtime to be worked to ensure successful completion of deliveries

Qualification/Skills required

  • Good Communication Skills for interacting with Customers both face to face and over the phone
  • Excellent Organisation Skills
  • Experience and understanding of route navigation systems (UK & Ireland) and ability to plan routes efficiently.
  • Experience with manoeuvring and offloading equipment
  • Previous class 2 lorry driving experience
  • Current drivers CPC Qualification up to 18 tonne (required)
  • Manual handling training
  • Work well independently
  • Familiarity with GPS devices or map apps
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage
